コロナ禍に出されたアルバム「folklore」に収録されている曲です。

「epiphany」とは「悟り」や「キリストが神の子として世に現れたこと」という意味のようです。

戦争やコロナ禍での医療現場など、命が失われていく場面を思わせる歌詞が出てきます。

そういった極限の状況では、何かを信仰することが自分を守るために必要なんだと思います。

通常版に入ってないのがもどかしい。

私の中では、

この曲のYouは Zac Efron についてだという声が大きいようです。私もそれに賛同しています。理由は最後らへんに書きます。

いくつか意味はありますが、この曲では、「口ごもる」「言葉につっかえる」という意味に取っています。

stumble という単語は Call It What You Want のCメロにもでてきていますね。

2.  The delicate beginning rush

rush は感情のほとばしり、みたいな意味です。

結構よく見る気がします。

テイラーの曲だと、The Way I Loved Youにもサビにでてきますね。

ONE DIRECTIONのKiss Youにも。
